My BarkBox Review
In my I will give a you an overview on what to expect as well as our experience. We have been getting a box each month for over ten months now and will also show you photos of some of boxes that came. Let’s first start by showing you what it is and what it contains.
What is BarkBox?
What comes with each BarkBox?
- Two toys. They will be based on the theme and it can be a squeaky plush toy, or a tug toy with ropes, and sometimes there are toys that are meant to be torn apart by your dog and inside is another smaller toy.
- Two bags of treats. They are full size, no small little bags of treats. Some of them are soft, some harder, some small and some a bit bigger size of treat.
- One chew/bone that is great to give your pup for working on longer than eating a treat.
- Based on the theme there is also always a card, stickers or a free extra like a prop in it that is meant for you to interact with the box and your dog. In one box for example, we had a pirate bandana in it that we could have our dog wear. Taking a picture with it and posting it using their hashtag #barkboxday. If you search this hashtag on Instagram you will find other happy dog owners that have subscribed to BarkBox and what they found inside.
Subscription Prices & Best Value
- The best value Barkbox is starting at $20 per box if you sign up for 12 months.
- For 6 months you can either be billed today and pay $23 for each box
or be billed monthly and pay $25 for each box. - Subscribe to only 1 month and pay $29 per box.
We recommend the 12 month plan because it is the cheapest plan. But only go for the 12 month subscription if you know that you want to have it for at least that long. For 12 or 6 months plans, you cannot cancel before those months have been payed and are delivered to you. If you want to just try it and aren’t sure, go for the 1 month plan!
Free shipping to the USA and Canada so there will be no extra cost unless you want to add an extra toy for $9 every month.
Also note that these subscriptions automatically renew after the 1, 6 or 12 months. So you should keep a reminder about when the plan ends and you can cancel future deliveries if you choose to do so.
Is BarkBox Worth It?
As , we know we all want the best for our dogs and treat them like a family member. We giving them and something to play with. Now, if you normally spend $20 or more in a month on toys and , it means it already is a great value since the minimum cost of Box is $20 and it comes delivered to you without you having to worry about getting it
Let’s take a look at the items in this box and compare to how much they cost all together if bought alone.
This Grinch Box came with 2 plush toys, 1 accessory, 2 treat bags and 1 chew.
On BarkShop:
- $10 for each plush toy
- $8 for the antler headband
- $5 for each treat bag
- $3 for a chew
All together we would pay $36 for this whole set from them.
Based on this, even with a 1 month subscription you would save $7 and with the best value plan save $16.
Then again, you might want to consider getting toys and from a different source. I know we all Amazon or a traditional , and we can also find everything for dogs there. But even at Amazon, usually cost around $8 and treat range from $3 to $20. The difference is that with BarkBox you already know that the and quality of the will be good and healthy. Also, their premium toys are very fun and some of them even have hidden toys inside a bigger toy for your to dig into or destroy. All the toys usually have a inside.
Overall, you will be saving money if you want to have the same amount of goodies for your making this worth the money.
