Acai Frozen Packs

Eat healthy, be healthy! A popular thing for health conscious people these days are smoothies and smoothie bowls. In general, fruits and veggies of course are so good for our bodies. And we love to add so called powerfoods like acai. Acai has been so big and people just love acai bowls – I know I do, too.

If you eat out a lot it can be super expensive though. An acai bowl in a big city can easly go for $10. After I ate them a bunch of times, I felt like it was just too much money to spend on a dish that is so easy and cheap to make at home. So I looked for acai in supermarkets to make it at home. They have powders or frozen packs. I now decided to use the frozen packs because I feel like they mix a lot better than powder and it is frozen, which makes it great for smoothies and bowls as I don’t have to add ice cubes or other frozen fruits to make it more thick.

The Sambazon Acai packs come with four packets in the bag. It can sometimes be too frozen to remove. If that is the case, you can run it under warm water for a couple of seconds and it should help get the frozen acai out of the packet easily.

Acai Bowl 101 Recipe

  • 1/2 cup of spinach
  • 1 Acai Frozen Pack
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 cup of mixed frozen berries (or of your choice)
  • 1 cup of water

I like to add my leafy greens in my BlendTech blender first and then add the frozen or not frozen fruits and water. I find that it mixes the greens in better with the rest and prevents them from sticking to the top or sides of the blender.

After it is all blended you can add your toppings like coconut flakes, granola or fruits.
